31 day poem – A ‘Thank You’ Post

The 31 day poem is over! Thanks to all those who have been continuously following my poem and appreciating my work. It wouldn’t have been possible without all the encouragement you guys have provided. I should also thank my mother, a poet herself, who kept pushing me every day to write. If not for her support by pushing me to the laptop and reminding of many memories with bro dearest, I would have probably given up quite early, or else written a boring and dull poem 😀 🙂 Thank you Amma, love you!

Cheers to many more memories with all of you…….

And, I have fallen in love with word clouds……!

And cheers to many more word clouds of many more posts to come…… 😀

And Happy New Year 2017!!!!

[ New Year Resolution : Should stop using so many exclamation marks and the word “and” in my blog posts ]

31 day poem Day 31

Phew!!!! The last day of this challenge. Finally. As much as I enjoyed writing this poem every single day of my favourite (and birthday) month, December, it was quite tiring for me and my brain. One can even hear my brain panting heavily, especially today, since the expectations are very high!! Thank you Maja for creating this mind blowing (literally :P) challenge, and Happy Birthday my dear!!!!! ❤ ❤ So, here goes Day 31………..

{ As per the challenge, created by Maja, from the Business in Rhyme, I have written 3 stanzas each day of December, as part of One poem. }

Two messy hands,

And one toothy grin,

My world’s sunshine.

3 Line Tale : I don’t want a Tech-Diwali

tltweek48

[Prompt provided in the challenge]

It was her 5th Diwali, but it was the first time Divya held the fireworks in her hand, and she wanted her Ma and Pa to burst crackers along with her.

But Pa was busy in uploading Divya’s picture on Facebook, titled “Divya’s adventure with crackers” ; while Ma was busy scrolling through Facebook News Feed.

The uploaded picture garnered 300 likes, but failed to reflect the silent tears of the lonely girl, who only yearned for her parent’s attention and not the number of likes.
